The Los Angeles-based Children Affected by AIDS Foundation, a Start Here partner, got some great holiday news: A proposal to the Ronald McDonald House for support of their Prevention by Intervention (PBI) program will be fully funded by the highly regarded international charity. Start Here researched and prepared the proposal.
The amount that RMH dedicated to PBI, $142,000, will allow CAAF to ramp up the program, aimed at vastly reducing mother-to-child HIV transmission, in more Guatemalan hospitals, and to broaden its scope and reach in each location. We’re thrilled with this development in the great work that CAAF continues internationally!
